I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself to whomever may be reading to kick off this page.

My name is Michelle Halstead and I currently reside in a little college town in Kentucky. I have a wonderful husband who strives to make me feel loved daily and a beautiful baby boy who is one of my greatest treasures in this world. I also recently began working in the non-profit world as prevention educator and community development coordinator. 

I know that we live in a time where 'everyone has a blog' and I cannot promise you that this page is going to turn into something spectacular. However, over the last month or so, I have been having some true battles with my faith. If you have ever been in this boat, you know that a faith battle turns into a struggle in almost every area of life and your only hope is continually seeking the Lord and trusting that He is working for your good. So, I sought to begin this blog on a whim, honestly, hoping that it may be a gateway for me to take time to think about the Lord and connect Him with what is going on around me. In turn, connecting closer to Him again. 

As for the name ‘Graceful Image,’ this came to me as I pondered what I really wanted this blog to be about. Then it hit me - grace. This is something that I feel like we christians struggle to give to others, maybe even give to ourselves. I continued thinking of how living a life that extends grace is like Christ. Christ - whose image we are to bear. There it came to me Graceful Image. 

I would love for you to stick around and see what comes of this! I already have a few thoughts of what I’d like to share.
